Exchange Bank

Here is a closer view of the top floor of the Exchange Bank Building I showed in the reflection photo from yesterday. This 6 story building was built in 1927 and was the first modern private office building in Tallahassee. It is one of the few downtown buildings to have maintained its architectural integrity. It is constructed of buff brick with limestone trim. I love the terra-cotta wall ornamentation at the top especially against the blue sky.

Oh, I can see that now! It wasn't so apparent in yesterday's photo. It does make the building.

That is one beautiful building! The just don't build 'em like they used to do! And what a sky which looks especially good after the series of gray days we've had here in Ocala!

The trim really does add to the look of the building making it quite attractive.

I love old buildings! The limestone is really eye catching. Of course, it helps that the sky makes such a beautiful blue background!

Gorgeous Art Deco tile on that one. I hear there is a lot of Art Deco down in Florida.
