Photos from Florida's Capital City (and occasionally a few from other interesting places I have been fortunate enough to visit in my travels!)
This is a great shot. That really is a house (for bats!). Cute and so different from those bat houses I showed a few days ago on Florida Fotos. Thanks, too, for the link to your aunt's book. I just may buy it. Looks very interesting! I don't think I could have lived in Florida in the "good ol' days" which lacked air-conditioning, but I love to read about those times.
I think your bat house is a bit more upscale than mine. lol
lovely capture. soft and pretty light.
Interesting, I have never seen a bat house before! Great photo.
Only recently I have learned of bat houses, and this one is really majestic!
What a cool Bat house. And the sky is nice too. MB
Oh wow! That's a wonderful bat house! I love bats.
I have never seen a bat house before--If I were a bat I'd love to live there--and maybe even if I weren't. (grin)
I've heard of bat houses, but can't recall seeing them outside of documentaries.
At first glance I thought it was a children's playhouse... then I saw how high up it was!!
Nice sky. I think it would have taken me a while to work out that the house was for bats!Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
I wonder if there are any vancancies in that 'bat hotel'. I have one of the back of my garage that the hornets love. Few bats though.
It looks so wild here, hard to believe that it's just behind a mall. Lovely skies! Hope your weekend is going well so far.
I wonder how these bats welcome guests. :)Great place.
Beautiful shot! Love the bathouse.
