Steps to Nowhere


I almost didn't see these old steps while I was walking on the sidewalk on the other side of the road. I often notice steps like these scattered around town and it makes me wonder what kind of building they used to lead to. Someone's home perhaps?

Ah, one of the sweet mysteries of life...but I think you're right that they led to a house. Often in this area the remains of the house is still visible.

There must have been a house once. And it doesn't take long before nature moves in and takes over.
