North Parlor Goodwood

I was standing in the south parlor of the main residence at the Goodwood estate (see yesterday's post) looking through the pocket doors into the north parlor when I took the first picture. The second shot is an old framed black and white picture that was sitting on a desk in the parlor. It shows a previous resident sitting in front of those same pocket doors reading a book.

I love that first shot, especially! It's just like I thought it would be! I can't remember what that circle in the ceiling is called but it's beautiful - as are the colors! Magnificent. Thank you for sharing these.

What a beautiful library, and I love this kind of comparison between new and old.
