Fresh for Florida Kids Food Garden

The Fresh for Florida Kids Food Garden is located in front of the Holland Building in downtown Tallahassee. Sponsored by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, the garden is a place for school children or just about anyone to visit and learn about growing fresh produce and find out how important it is to eat lots of fruits and vegetables. To find out more about the garden and watch some interesting videos starring "The Man in Overalls", you can visit their website here. The Garden also has its own Facebook page here.

I love this! Do the kids get a chance to actually grow their own veggies? We had a similar place in downtown Ocala but I don't know if it's still there.

Wishing you a great day!

Kids and gardens: a pretty good combo.
Got to start somewhere.

Such a brilliant way to get youngsters to learn about foods Lois, we have one here in Perth also. It always amazes me how some children don't know the names of vegetables!

What a great idea! Of course, not only kids need to be reminded of why it's good to eat their vegetables (I could use it too!).
