Weekend Reflections

I had planned to vote early yesterday until I got to the Leon County Courthouse and saw that the line snaked half way around the building. I think I'll just wait until Tuesday and vote while most people are at work. I'm linking this picture to Weekend Reflections since I noticed Florida's historic old Capitol dome with the flag on top reflected in the courthouse windows on the left side of the picture. The courthouse is across the street from the Capitol building.

Great people are willing to vote so early and wait in the queue.

How great to see people up to vote early in this election. Every vote is important, and the more people who vote in this election the better.
Thank you for your visit and comment on my pink cement truck photo.

Good eye there, girl. I didn't see the dome until you mentioned it.
I mailed in my ballot. MB

I'll put up some voting photos tomorrow...we voted early at a library. We got there about 8:30. Not much of a line at all. About 8:50 I said something to a person standing next to me. "Oh," he said, "they don't open 'til 10."

Yikes!.

But we stayed and voted. By the time we left the place was jammed...the line extending back around the parking lot. No place left to park.

Patty and I vote by absentee ballot and voted a couple of weeks ago. I am a Republican but didn't vote for George W. Bush and did not vote for Romney. I think his VP is crazy.

I tried to but time got away from me so I will be out there on Tuesday too.

Early voting was big here also. I hope that nationwide we have a great turnout on Tuesday. I have my preference of course but I think we have two smart honorable guys running.

I voted early and had only a half hour line. But, I think the country is missing something by not going back to the old way of having people vote on a single day.

Very clever reflection. I voted at 7:15 a.m. last Friday and there already was a line, although it wasn't very long.

I voted weeks ago with a absentee-ballot. Color me happy ~:)

I'm wondering if the attempts at voter suppression caused the opposite effect--determination. Here in Oregon we vote by mail 100%. I could have sent my ballot in in mid-October and turned off ALL the robo-calls and political mailings.
