Look closely or click on the picture to biggify it and you can see what I think might be a little blue heron wading at the edge of Lake Jackson. To see more beautiful watery pictures be sure to visit Watery Wednesday.

Looks like one. I never saw one here but they are sometimes to be found in my state. I liked your house post the other day too.
I think you may be right!
Oh yes, I see him! But he is rather camouflaged. Great catch!
Yep, I saw him. Great capture.
Nice shot Lois! Hope you're having a great week.
So lovely! But he must be very small... :)

Oh I see it. A terrific shot!
Great shot!
Watery Wednesday at my page, come and see please?
He is well camouflaged, I hadn't noticed him. They can stand very quiet for ages to look for food.
Wow, that's great. Lovely bird. Those lily leaves are huge too.
That one's a baby. They are so much more distinguished when they get a bit of size and age on them. (Sounds like I am putting in a plug for old guys like myself!)
Good eye!
You have so many lovely lakes! Love the lily pads and the cute bird :D
Super shot for the theme, Lois, and that most certainly is a blue heron - quite well-camouflaged, too! Poor little fishies won't have a chance!
Beautiful spot and lovely bird. Love all those water plants.
