My grandkids are I were wading in the warm shallow water at the edge of Apalachee Bay in the Gulf of Mexico and saw this slow moving snail. My grandson is a big fan of Spongebob Squarepants and decided to name him Gary, in honor Spongebob's pet snail on that cartoon show. I think I'd like your grandson a lot...he's interested in things around him and he's creative. So did you take Gary home as a pet?
No we didn't take him home. We picked him up though and inspected him pretty thoroughly before letting him go on his way!
