I guess you could call all of my posts this week Watery Wednesday posts since they are all about our visit to the Georgia Aquarium. In these pictures you can see my grandson interacting with sting rays, sea anemones and a small hammerhead in a few of the many touch pools at the aquarium. The kids were instructed to pet with only two fingers which is much better for the animals. My grandson could not get over how soft and smooth the sting rays were! To see more wonderful watery pictures from all over the world, go visit Watery Wednesday.

This is just awesome isn't it? My oldest daugher just went to discovery cove and swam with sting rays and dolphins...
A valuable learning experience for all kids.
I think its cool the way that many aquariums have touch pools. The kids get to touch the animals but also learn to be soft and gentle with them also.
It's so wonderful that kids can touch those fishes, and be good friends!
Adorable pictures, thanks so much for sharing!

Ooh! We have nothing like this in our aquarium. I would love to be able to touch a stingray and shark too! Not sure about the anemone though. ;)
Wow, that's amazing. You can actually touch the creatures, that's great!
What a wonderful experience for the kids...great photos.
Golly, you guys are having a good time. Hands on is such a good learning tool.
I like the Penguin exhibit too. MB
I'm a underwater lover so I'm really enjoying these posts, Lois! Wonderful pics!
This was always my favorite part of the aquarium!
What a wonderful learning and fun experience for your Grandson.

OMG I thought they were papers when I first saw the first photo and when I scrolled it down...rays! The kids are very brave to touch them.
What fun! I've never heard to only pet them with two fingers. Maybe someone should tell the Tulsa aquarium people that if it's better for them.
Fabulous grandparenting experience! I just love these pictures. Sharing these experiences -- a forever memory for everybody.
I just went to an aquarium this spring and got to do this, too! I was really surprised how rough the small sharks felt!
I hope they have removed the 'sting' part before the kids touched them!
I love it when kids get to be hands-on with nature. These are wonderful!
Oh wow. A nice way to introduce children, or anybody, to animals who live in a different kind of world.
Do you have a homemade recipe you would share with our readers? No, you don't have to be fat to share them.

I think this must have been one of the highlights of your grandson's life. Kudos to you!

Oh, Lois! These are wonderful photos! They fill my eyes--those kids are having so much fun. lol
Say, did you see Sissy Clytie's rose with a face? I think she posted it yesterday--you will laugh--I've NEVER seen anything like it!
Oh, what fun for him to be able to touch the stinrays and others. These are really nice pictures of him learing about these sea creatures.
I can imagine how he felt!
watch out! I hope they don't have the dangerous bard at the tail.
The perfect excuse to play in the water. I wish I was there to play too.
I am amazed by the photo of him petting the hammerhead!
Fun pics. Your grandson is right -- stingrays are soft. I bet he had a great time.
Your grandson is having a summer to remember with you! This is great fun to follow this on your blog, Lois!
