Sign on the locked gate of an old cemetery downtown. I think it is because of vandalism and too many people doing things in there they aren't supposed to do.

What a shame! Looks like a beautiful old cemetery. Are people not allowed to visit at all? The last time we were at the Texas State Cemetery the State Police were there due to some vandalism that had taken place the night before. Why on earth would someone do that? Kathy
Same here, Lois! Vandalism and robbery seem to grow year after year...
I dont understand why people cant leave things alone.
I remember you Posting about this place before. Where you would take a lunch break. It seems that this happens most everywhere. People that have no morals and must think it's fun to destroy or maim something, always mess everything up for the rest of us who want to enjoy. It never ends.
Oh, that's too bad that the actions of a few result in restrictions for everybody.
It looks like a spooky cemetery based on your photo! Too bad some have ruined the visitation rights for all!

What a shame that you can't go in there anymore! What a beautiful, peaceful place. How would they enforce that law though ... "That'll be a year in jail and $1000 in fines. Never, NEVER eat your sandwich in that CEMETERY again!"
It's always something! The few jerks mess it up for everyone else. I love to wander through cemeteries, also. Fascinating places.
That's sad. I like the first picture through the fence though. Lots of lines and shadows. Very neat!

That's so sad. I haven't been there for a while so I didn't know about the new order.
I looked forward to visiting it again :(
I see this is a common problem everywhere, it's a pity and a shame.
That's really a shame. What do people do that want to visit a loved one's grave?

That's too bad. Do the people have to be escorted to enter? I always thought cemetaries were kind of like parks...well, in the daytime :)
Pretty photo of the fence looking in. It's such a shame that the city had to shut its gates. I get my liking for cemetaries from my grandmother, who would visit one anywhere she went...and look at the gravestones and wonder about people.
So sad you can no longer go in - I love visiting old cemeteries; they tell so much about a place.

Old cemeteries are great places to take pictures. The gate and the moss really add something special to these pictures.
