Looking for a place to sit?
This couch perched on a picnic table was located in front of a fraternity house near the FSU campus. I'm sure there must be a good reason.
We had some horrific weather in our part of the country this past weekend. My brother-in-law's house in Alabama was hit by a tornado and the whole back of the house, back porch and garage were destroyed. Fortunately no one was in the house at the time. No tornadoes around here, but the thunderstorms were pretty scary!

Thats so they can view their kingdom from above.
The only reason I can think of for this, is a more comfortable place to sit, rather on the hard bench and table. Maybe a Collage prank? It's different, I'll say that. Seems that collage kids can always come up with something out of the ordinary. Some of what they can do just makes you laugh. Just for the fun of it.

Funny...I think they were tired and they forgot it there...

Boy, I'll bet there is a heck of a story behind this! Great catch. Kathy
It looks VERY quiet in front of the frat house! The boys are still sleeping after last night's craziness I guess?
Those crazy frat boys! Who knows why they do anything? ;)
I'm so glad your brother and his family are ok! I enjoy a good thunderstorm, but the tornadoes are really scary
So sorry about your brother-in-law! That's just terrible. I hate tornadoes even worse than hurricanes...we were under a tornado watch here for most of the evening and the skies looked very bad...but today's all bright and sunny.
This is a great photo! One just never knows what fraternity boys will do next! I'm sure there's a reason, though it may not necessarily be a good one. Looks like a nice couch, though.
Re your comment on Ocala DP: The more I reflected on that shot, the more I realized 1/2 was plenty!
I wonder what it was used for last time? It sure looks to be in pretty good shape to me.
Maybe they needed more room to party, and didn't want to sit on the top of the table??? You made me giggle this morning!
Scary to hear about your brother-in-law and the tornado. How absolutely terrifying! So glad no one was home!
Tornadoes are the absolute worst part of spring.
My goodness--what an interesting place to sit! I think I'd like to sit there...
I'm so sorry to hear about your brother-in-law's home. I love bad weather--but I would never want to face a tornado, or be in the path of a hurricane. That kind of weather is SO scary...I am glad to hear everyone is alright.
ca c est du confort ;O)
«Louis», having grown up in the Texas panhandle, well knows what tornadoes are capable of. On the whole, he'll take California earthquakes... He's glad your relatives weren't hurt..
Re the couch - who knows?! Maybe the Frat boys wanted a place from which to watch the floodwaters should the storm continue...
Lois, I'm glad your family wasn't hurt but sorry for the destruction to their home.
We have had stormy weather also but nothing bad happened.
I was wondering how close you were to the tornadoes - we've seen lots about them on TV over here. They sound terrifying - and the aftermath so difficult and upsetting. I am sorry for your family.
Ya, I watched your storms roll across the panhandle. Safe passage.
Glad to hear your family is okay, I'm so sorry they had destruction to their home.
Maybe the couch needed a good 'airing out'. Ha-ha!
Sunny :)
Love this shot.

You never know about fraternaties but one can't help wonder if beer is involved. I'm sorry to hear about your brother-in-law's house. Thankfully, nobody was hurt. I've been hearing about the tornadoes on the news.
What a way to sun bath ;D I'm glad your brother's family were safe from the tornado. Thank goodness they weren't home at the time.
Since when did college kids, fraternity kids especially, need a reason for anything?
I am so sorry for your brother-in-law, Lois. I'm just glad no one got hurt. Still, that's extensive damage. I hope his insurance will cover the cost of repairs.
Are they trying to keep it dry? This is really a funny picture!
Hopefully the couch doesn't get rained on!
That's just awful about your brother-in-law's house. I'm glad no one was hurt.
but how will I eat
