Coffee House
Continuing on my lunch time walk, about a block up the road from my building and located in the rear of the Presbyterian University Center is Calvin's Coffee House. According to their Facebook page, it was named after French theologian John Calvin and you can see his picture on their sign. I haven't tried it, but it looks like a great place.

As I love coffee, I think it would be a place to visit and enjoy good moment with friends!
I loved those little coloured flowers as well!

Probably, John Calvin is someone liked in Presbyterian University, as a founder of the theological tradition of presbyterianism.
PS.
I don't know coffe houses with the theologian names. But I know Telemenn Coffe House in Pszczyna.
I love small coffee houses. Have you tried Craig's Killer Coffee? Some friends of mine own it and he keeps posting their bakery items on facebook, making me drool all over my keyboard:) Kathy
Not a former President?
Sometimes when I look at your photos I realize that there is so much so very near to me that might as well be in a foreign country.
I think Calvin would like this place too!
LOL! A name only academics will appreciate. ;)
A coffee house with the name of a theologian is absolutely new to me, but I guess PAK is right.
If this is the same John Calvin who murdered those other theologians who disagreed with him, I think I'll stay away from the coffee! :-)
hee hee
«Louis» thought Calvin was too straight-laced to be stimulated with caffeine!
As soon as I am able I got to get out and about and try some different things. Thanks for the inspiration.
There is a Juan Pablo 2, John Paul the 2nd bar around here. Protestants welcome.
It looks like a fun place for quiet cup of coffee. I think signs really say a lot about a business.
Sunny :)
What an interesting name for a coffee house. I'm enjoying reading the comments about it as well!
I read the sign and it says it is open Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm. That 's pretty late for a Sunday evening.
Like Pam, I see their hours vary from day to day! Looks like a great place to lounge for a bit :)
