Cross on the wheels! :) Great!
What an unusual scene, cowboy hat, backpack and larger than life cross! Great capture.
I have to wonder when I see things like this.
It's not EASTER time yet, what was he doing??
Is he the man carrying the Cross across the country? Tell him Jesus never had a wheel.I really like your reflections shot. Excellent. MB
How interesting. I wonder if he will be hanging out until Easter ... there used to be a guy in Colorado Springs who did the same. I don't know if he is still there or not.
Love this picture..I see that the cross has one wheel which is good thing he doesn't have to drag the long cross to where ever he is going. Hope he is warm at this time of season. SkyWatchFriday:BlueSky
I have seen him before...
Boy, I bet that made you do a double take! What an unusual sight, great presence of mind to snap the picture. Is your daughter a band director in Tallahassee? I have a good friend who lives there, son is in high school band and daughter is in middle school band. I think Ben goes to Leon HS? Wouldn't it be funny if she was his director? Cait will be student teaching this semester and graduating in May. Hoping for a band director job somewhere in Central Texas (fingers crossed). Have a great day! Kathy
Strange. . . .
You're a quick snapper Lois (photographer..now that is just my word..:))but it makes an interesting subject for your photography today!
Glad you were quick with your shutter. I thought same as Darla that we have seen him before...unbelievably - like he walked from one blog to another!! He's come a ways from Pensacola. http://dailypensacolaphoto.blogspot.com/2009/11/walk-walk-sunday.htmlI wonder if he's seen the light (sorry, very bad pun).
Lois, Tash sent me over here and you're not going to believe this...I photographed the same man here in Pensacola!http://dailypensacolaphoto.blogspot.com/2009/11/walk-walk-sunday.html
I too noticed the practicality and incongruity of the wheel.
Ditto Small City Scenes! There was a guy in Montrose one summer when a cross like that and we always wanted to tell him that Jesus didn't have wheels. Later I heard the guy had back problems and had surgery, so I'm glad we didn't shout that at him.
