SkyWatch Friday
Blue skies and a tiny moon behind the bat house located near the Tallahassee Mall. You can get a better look at the moon by clicking on the picture to enlarge it. To see more beautiful skies from around the world, please visit SkyWatch Friday.
This looks like a nice, warm sky. The moss on those trees would make a spooky night view with bats from the bat house. Not what you would expect to see near a shopping mall.
took me a while to locate the wee moon, almost mistook a speck of dirt on my monitor for it at first but then I scrolled and found it. Nice blue sky here at the moment but very cold still.
A bat house is just what the name implies Jacob. It was built to attract bats and hopefully keep them from roosting in nearby buildings. They also eat tons of mosquitoes, so they are our friends! Unfortunately this bat house is not keeping the bats out of the building where I work.
Nice angle on the... bat house?, points the eye to the moon! I can see it on the "small", that and the wispy clouds. What is a bat house? How big is it? Why do bats need a house? So many questions... :-)

Haven't our skies been just beautiful this week?

Great composition of the bat house against the cerulean sky! How cool to have a bat house!
I like this a lot; very well composed...but what is a "bat" house?

Cool shot Lois. The sky looks great.
Neat looking bat house. I like bats and they are so beneficial as you mentioned.
I've missed visiting for awhile so I scrolled around your lovely town. MB
Beautiful shot, Lois. So blue! The bat house is really cute as well.
So ... with bats in your building, I'm guessing you don't have a mosquito problem there? :=}
A bat house?!
Is this where you Floridans put people who've gone batty?!
;-)

Our sky are cloudy, it's raining again and it's very cold. Please allow me a bit of envy...
My parents have a bat house in their backyard garden but NO bats! C'est la vie!
