From what I know, the IOOF, is a organization that does allot of good for all the people in a community. Years ago, I was a member of this, but just never kept up my membership. I'm not sure, but it might have ties with the Masonic Order. My Mother was a Past Matron with the Order of the Eastern Star. The Womans branch of the Mason's. This is why you see the Star on my Blog. Each point of the Star has a different color and meaning. My Mother would never tell me what it meant. A very secret Order. I've often thought about joining the Masons, but just never do. Since all of my Uncles were Masons, I would have no trouble getting in.
Being a rather odd fellow myself (just ask my wife, she's laughing in the background), I'm terribly ashamed of confessing that I've never heard of them. Seems quite good what they're doing. Not odd :)
What? Weren't the Elks odd enough for this group? It's all rather odd. I wonder if they have odd meetings, serve odd meals, and drink odd drinks?
By the way, those little lizard critters can sneak in your house so fast through the smallest crack...I've chased them all over the place...I keep telling Lois they won't bite or hurt anything, but she wants them gone and her wish is my command!

I wonder how odd those fellows really are??
I can't say I know much about these fraternal orders or have any interest. But they sure are part of the fabric of America.
Funny! I've never heard of them but sounds like an interesting bunch!
No where this is too.
According to «Louis's» Editor, he should be a charter member of the "Odd Fellows."
(Editor to «Louis»: You are, indeed, ODD.
«Louis» to Editor: Sheesh! Can't I visit one single blog without your taunts?! Just one?! Is that too much to ask?!
Editor to «Louis»: Yes
«Louis» to Editor: "Yes" what?! Too much to ask? Or you will let me visit ONE blog without a taunt?!
Editor to «Louis»: Yes
«Louis» slaps hoof to head: I give up...)
Interesting sign, I knew nothing about these guys...
I wonder why I had never heard of these?

We have an Odd Fellows hall and cemetery not too far from where we live.
