The Florida Bar
An impressive building sitting on a hill just down the road from the Florida Capitol building is the headquarters for the Florida Bar. Dedicated on October 8, 1966, it was patterned after the architecture of colonial Williamsburg. I have always liked this building because of its columns. The Florida Bar also maintains branch offices in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa.

This is a beautiful building Lois. I love the columns too, so "Old South" And the cupola on top is perfect. Kathy
Beautiful, Lois. We have many buildings here which have inspired modern architecture. I'd love to visit colonial Williamsburg.

It is a nice building. If your daughter saw all of the commotion in the neighborhood Saturday night, it was me....sorry! I posted about it...
Can't escape columns in the South. Very beautiful architecture.
It is an impressive building. And it does remind me of Colonial Philidelphia.
A very impressive building. Bricks and columns have such a stately feel.
Sunny :)
That's an impressive building. It does remind me of Williamsburg.
Enjoying the spring weather? (Finished shoveling your ice and snow??!!)
It looks like it could be a college building. Wonderfully impressive, as it should be.
For sure these columns are very impressive, wonderful building and perfect shot! :)

Yes this building is very impressive! I love brick buildings, and columns as well. We don't have many columned buildings here in Oregon, and I appreciate the ones I do see.
The columns always give a massive look of importance. Just one more example of fine architecture.

So did you "belly up to the bar"?
;-)
That is a beautiful building! I wonder how many rooms it has.
Is it a full-service bar?
An impressive building, it is obvious that these are powerful people.
It certainly is impressive. Love it.

I don't believe I've seen a Bar building before. Unusually nice architecture. Great angle to bring out the best in the photo.
Wonderful building!
