I took this picture of the mural painted on the outside wall of a new local Mexican restaurant in Tallahassee called La Rumba. They have really good food and entertainment and the service was excellent!
This pond is located behind the Tallahassee Mall. It has a bat house sitting next to it. You can click on the image to see it better. I also posted a closeup picture of this bat house here. Please visit Watery Wednesday for more beautiful watery pictures!
The sign in front of the Fine Arts Building on the FSU campus advertising the graduating artists show now going on in and around the Museum of Fine Arts.
This guy has a big job pressure washing the Fine Arts Building on the FSU campus. I took the picture from inside the stairwell of the parking garage next door.
I took this picture of a Ruby-throated Hummingbird outside my back door. I had to take the picture through the glass so it's not as clear as I would like.
This is a statue of Francis Wayles Eppes (1801-1881), one of the founders of Florida State University and the grandson of President Thomas Jefferson. He is sitting in front of Eppes Hall which was built in 1918.
Jerome McNeill, a professor of science at Florida State College for Women (now Florida State University) had this home built for his family in 1903. It was later remodeled by Kent Spriggs, former mayor of Tallahassee, to use for his office. During last year's election, the house was used as the Obama Student Headquarters. This old house is located on College Avenue between the main gate of FSU and downtown and is currently for sale.
The Haven of Rest is a rescue mission that provides accommodations for 120 to 130 men every night 365 days a year. It is located near downtown Tallahassee. I took this picture from the top floor of the parking garage across the street. For more information about this place go here.
This bald eagle was sitting on the ground at the Tallahassee Museum. I wish this picture was a little bit clearer, but this was as close as I could get to him.
My sweet kitty Gracie and I received this award from our dear friend Luna and her mommy Léia over at We love Luna. We are so happy and honored! The five reasons Gracie thinks that life is grand:
1. She is the queen of the house. 2. She has her very own daybed (even though she would rather sleep with me). 3. She has the most beautiful green eyes. 4. She thinks she is a person. 5. She is spoiled.
Gracie would like to share this award with all of her friends! Enjoy!
