Retiring in Style!
One of the employees in the building where I work recently retired. She decided to hire a limo to pick her up after work on her last day. Her entire family was inside the limo waiting for her to come out. We all went outside to wave and watch her go. I might just have to do the same thing when I retire in 3 years!

Ooooh! I'd love to see and ride in one of these stre-e-etch limos. I've haven't seen a single one here.
Don't forget to take lots of photos! Have a good weekend, Lois. And I wish you some sunshine too! Our skies are way too similar.
That is style~~!
That is quite the limo! Retiring in style is right!
Sunny :)
Your going to retire when you're 35?
I would suggest a magnificent golden carriage, drawn by at least 8 white stallions, with red feathers on their heads, and a brass band on a trailer following you during your parade through Tallahassee! That's panache! But you've got plenty of time. You forgot the zero behind the 3 (years), by the way.
Now that's what I'd call a limo! And what a great way to begin retirement....I'll have to file that away just in case I get to retire one day.
I was only once inside one of these: there was this big secret party and limos were picking the guests at the meeting point; nobody knew where the party would take place, so it was fun, but am I the only one who find these cars absolutely ridiculous? LOL!
No Rob, I didn't forget the zero! I am definitely retiring in 3 years, if not sooner, and planning be a full-time Granny!
3 years??? I'm jealous. I'm going to have to work a few more years than that. Wait a minute...I've got three kids. I'll have to work till I'm a hundred. Yikes!
ecologic ?
Now that's a way to make everyone envious!
B Squared beat me to it Lois! You don't look like a granny, unless your photo is 10-15 years old. :)
p.s. please read Sambo's tale on my post today. It answer's yesterday cryptic question!
Good for her. Go out with a bang. :)
My photo is only a year old Eamon! I am a Granny and I have 2 grandchildren to prove it!
A terrific idea! And that's what I call a limo!
And yes, I think it would be cool if you did the same thing. Could you get a slightly bigger limo, though?
;-)
I think you deserve more the ornate horse and carriage treatment...with livery and pomp.
Pls do blog it Lois if you do this too. :) So we can see what limo color you have.
Superb idea! Limos are not just for teens any more!
We had a coworker retire after 43 years with the same company (well, the company changed names 3 times).
We went to the art deco Sky Room in Long Beach.
Wonderful idea, but I think I would just slip quietly into the sunset. Maybe the limo could drive me to the beach?
