Look hard and you will see some sky through the moss and branches of this old oak tree. This picture looks even cooler if you click on it and enlarge it. To see more beautiful skies from around the world, please visit SkyWatch Friday.

Now Lois, you know you don't have to clime up in that tree and decorate it just for us :D
It does look amazing though with the blue of the sky peeking through, well done...
You're right it looks even cooler when enlarged. I like the way the rays of sun look on that mossy looking stuff that hangs from the tree.
Even though I hate Spanish Moss, this is one heck of a beautiful photo, Lois.
I love this shot...it is gorgeous enlarged...very cool
Impressive!!! That is so cool!!! Looks like the sagging willow tree only here they look like fine egg noodles. hehe
My father always referred to the moss as beards. It is what I think of every time I see it. Nice memories.
I do see the beautiful sky there Lois. Very clever way to show us your sky out there. Happy weekend! BTW, hope you can join in the fun I have at my page. See Yah!
Here, we don't have the hanging moss. It's something that has always appealed to me though. Nice photo Lois.
Very nice. Great shot.
Have a nice weekend Lois.
Good to see this moss close up. I'm still trying to imagine it hanging from all tress in the area. It's slightly unreal for me.
Great sky and this tree is so beautiful, I loved the angle in this shot!

What a beautiful shot. I have found hanging moss on trees out here usually in woods by rivers. Mostly Alder trees. You captured it well. MB
Spanish Moss reminds me, always, of southern plantations -- I guess because of that lane of oaks with Spanish moss that was in the movie Gone with the Wind.
That's a cool old tree!
Happy SWF!
What a wonderful old tree and spanish moss. I see the sky peeking through, but I also see a beautiful green heart, smack dab in the middle of the photo!!! Beautiful shot.
I love all the action packed into this photo, Lois! The lacy moss, gnarly tree, quivering leaves, little clouds puffing their way across the blue, and the sunshine tinkling all the way through.
Oh gosh Clytie, I didn't even notice that heart until you pointed it out!
Very cool.
That's beautiful!
Great shot!! I see the heart, too!
A wonderful photo of that spectacular tree!
I love how this photo glows! I feel like I'm there under the tree with you.
