Railroad Cars
I just couldn't pass by this railroad crossing without stopping to take a picture of these old railroad cars lined up on the tracks. Good thing there was no train coming or I might not have been so brave!
I also thought they look like coal cars. But I don't know that much about trains. I do know that the picture makes me feel nostalgic for some reason. Which is kind of weird because I've only ever been on a train (in this country) once, and that was Amtrak!
Your Old Railroad Track brings back memory of a once upon a time country town life in Orange...where we fetched our drinking water from a Rain Water Tank up in Borenore by the old railroad track. It's both a happy and sad memory.

Cool photos Lois. Congrats on the selling of your daughters house. Will the School be Canopy???
Nice shot, Lois. Those cars go on forever... it might be fun to hitch a ride :D
There is always something intriguing about railroad tracks. I guess the can be a metaphor for almost anything.
They look something like coal cars but I suspect they haul something native to Florida or in that area. Nobody around makes the scene fairly eerie.
Your visit will count and help me Make History.

I don't know why, but I really like these old rusty train cars.
And I'm glad there was no train coming either!
Darla--yes!

Railroad crossing without any cars - Can you say that without any R's? LoL!
It look like it goes on forever.
Great photo, Lois! The days gone by and oh how far back they stretch!
A gorgeous look at rusty trucks that go on for ever.
Glad you took this shot, Lois! It's a wonderful perspective and composition too. Love the lined old cars!
I took a similar shot today, Lois, but with no train. Yours is much better than mine!
Love the composition - the perspective...don't you wonder what these old rusty cars are doing there?
Like me, I think you are very brave! ;-)
Why do I get nervous crossing railway tracks, even when there's not a train for miles?
They are just scary things I think.

I love shooting things that are old and rusty. So much color and texture. Man, that IS a lot of cars.
You were close! :)
Great shot.
