Photos from Florida's Capital City (and occasionally a few from other interesting places I have been fortunate enough to visit in my travels!)
Memories Lois....glad I lived through those times....
I love these two signs. I have just started to collect signs but slightly different. Mine are the faded old sort of sign for a product long since extinct. When I have a few in my collection I will start a series. I especially like the tone of the one that asks for ID. Ours here are not as subtle or creative as that one of yours.
If that's Bullwinkle's, I can't wait to see Rocky's.
I've never heard the phrase on the first sign about a shiny, youthful face...funny...But, it's a serious problem, underage drinking and college student binging and a place like this has to protect itself...Interesting shot, Lois!
Oh am I ever the dense one! I was thinking Bullwinkle's was like Chuck E Cheese and it was a cute way to get folks to wash their hands. I was reading Pig instead of Big. Then I read the 2nd sign.....duh. Oh well. I think I'm going to institute/threaten "pig-pig fines" when I suspect my grandkids didn't really wash their hands. :)
Big fines? Made me smile.
interesting signs!Have a nice week dear Lois, be happy!Léia
I was 40yrs old the last time I got carded. Shine on youthful face. :-)
I am not that shiny anymore, so I should be safe. And anyway, binge drinking for me always started after the second small glass of wine... Down at the 3rd!The french government warning: consommer avec moderation. Salud!
Interesting sign, similar not so amusing signs over here though. 500 feet is a good distance. Here in the UK they pass more laws each year, but they really do not seen to enforce the ones we already have.Leeds Photography
We have laws about drinking in the streets too - so they gather down country lanes instead.
haha... some food for thought, I suppose.
I think the days of having to show I.D. are slipping away from me. These are great signs though.
Ha, funny signs.
Hi Lois ! This is so fantastic !! I enjoyed this post..Thanks for sharing..
What an ingenious and humorous way to warn the youth.
I love taking pictures of funny signs!
