LOL, party poopers! Are those types of ducks black with ugly red heads? Or are they cute? Because if they are ugly, then I am all for eradicating them, but if they are cute, we are going to have us a problem!
We have the same problem with people "adopting" them in Ft. L. They stop traffic while crossing the street;their mating rituals are not pretty;and there fighting! Wish they would go back where they came from.
Party POOPERS---is right LOL How do you get rid of them? They do make a mess and add parasites to the water. Swimmers itch is one result. sorry I have missed being here for the past few days. MB
We don't have Muscovy ducks but we have signs like this for Canada Goose Geese. As a result, people stopping dumping their adult ducks they bought for their kids at Easter. And, the Canada Geese disappeared somewhere. I think at the old folks home where they are not only fed but excused for pooping all over the sidewalks.
I have seen basically the same signs around here especially in the last few years. I understand it around small ponds and such. Right now with the hot weather we're having some ponds and small lakes are almost dry. I definitely get your point though. I'm surprised they didn't try to fit a few more things "not to do" on there.

they are fun to watch...how are they going to stop kids from throwing bread crumbs to the ducks?

Thanks for your visit, Lois.
I sort of agree with them though! We have a lot of Canadian geese over here and they poo like mad on the golf course. :s
that DOES sound like a problem

It really is fun to feed the ducks.
I'm not sure I know these ducks but they surely seem to be a kind of a plague...
Hate the problem, but love the sign!
Those poor ducks get a bad rap! I had no idea they could cause that much trouble.
