Photos from Florida's Capital City (and occasionally a few from other interesting places I have been fortunate enough to visit in my travels!)
Great name for a business. I once shared a house with a French girl and she would eat a salad consisting of... tomatoes. Now I like them as much as most people, but I would want something else also.
Hello Lois!I would love to know this Tomato land! I really like tomato! I bet this place is cute and people there are very gentle!Léia
Is this Thomasville Road? Can't remember........
Wonderful photo, Lois. We like to buy locally grown fresh produce from our green market when we can.
Yes Darla it's Thomasville Road sort of across from the Red Elephant.
Wow, what a great post. I love signs and you might want to post it at TWTW meme, of roads and signs. Great shot Lois.
It's obvious by the time-worn sign that this delightful place has been there for ages. I bet they sell great produce!
You're right about "nothing better than"...Sometimes, though, I've found these places don't live up to their sign's proclamations. We finally found a fairly decent place but it's a long ways away...on Highway 441, north of Ocala.I've never found a place that could match the tomatoes and corn we'd get at road stands in Minnesota in the summertime.
We have similar places, some called, "Farmer's Market," here where different things are on sale depending upon what has been recently harvested. Some of the best food is available I managed to get a new blog started. It is about flowers. Our Flower Pot
I agree, wish there were more around here.
Okay, now I remember, thanks.
Sounds like a great place!
Great composition! I like the contrast of the faded sign with the colourful house.
A very happy, colorful photo. Love it!
I'm so glad it's fresh vegetable time again!
I love the faded sign contrasted against the brilliant yellow and red building in the background.
