Photos from Florida's Capital City (and occasionally a few from other interesting places I have been fortunate enough to visit in my travels!)
Thanks for sharing this lovely daylilie, Lois...It is so bright and cheery, I think I shall give to to my husband for Fathers Day:D
Such fleeting beauty! Lilies are one of my favorite flowers, so thank you for posting this, Lois!
It's a pity that the bloom has such a short span of life, isn't it? The flowers are so beautiful!God bless you!Léia & Cezar
Beautiful colors. I too love lilies. You are so lucky to have one living so close to you!
Very nicely done, Lois. Love the lighting. Now you've got the picture to remember when the lily fades away...
They are nice. Mine all last a week or longer but there are stands of them. So there is one or 7 all in bloom at the same time. The most famous that is nearly the same color as this one is the wild Ditch Lily that grows up here in side ditches. I have them on three sides of my property. Just plant one or two and they seem to grow on forever. Not as colorful as your pretty one but close.
Thanks Lois. I was just out walking and saw some of these beautiful flowers, but I didn't know what they were called until now.
They are so pretty. Now we know why they are called "Day" lilies. MB
That is just beautiful!! Too bad they don't stick around longer.
