Circus Truck

When I was a kid, I remember that the circus always came to town on a train. Now I guess they use trucks. This truck is parked in the civic center parking lot because the circus is here. I took my grandson to see it last year, but we didn't have time to go this year.

Hi Lois
I love the circus, have not seen one in quite a while.
I used to have a work colleague who was Polish, one of my mates asked if I had seen his arms, I was curious. Turns out he once drove a truck for a circus in France and one day a tiger would not get into its cage, so he got hold of it, whoops. It clawed him quite badly, but he just shrugged when I asked him about it and said "small cat 50 kilos". Great guy, I hope I see him on the road one day.

Oh my gosh, I've only just seen the names Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey in comic strips and books. And here it is in front of my eyes! It's actually real! I'm so tickled :D

What a scary story about the tiger! Last year when I went to the circus, they did an act with white tigers. It made me very nervous! And yes Hilda it is real and if you would like to know more about the Ringling history, you can go to this site: www.ringling.org
Sarasota, Florida was the winter home of the circus for years and John Ringling's mansion, art museum, and the circus museum are all located there. I have visited them and it is very interesting.

What a colorful truck! We went to the circus a few months back although it wasn't Ringling Bros.

Fun! I took my son this past fall for the first time and he went nuts. so magical. I love that they let you come early and meet the cast and animals beforehand.

I've never been to a Ringling Bros. circus. Good shot of their truck!
